Our History & Legacy
- Pioneering Roots: Founded by Dr. Jan Dommerholt and Dr. Robert Gerwin, Myopain Seminars traces its origins back to 1996 as the Janet G. Travell, MD Seminar Series—named in honor of the pioneering physician who co-discovered myofascial trigger points.
- Global Impact: Myopain Seminars introduced dry needling to Spain in 1996 and to the United States in 1997. Over the decades, the organization has expanded its footprint worldwide, teaching evidence-based courses across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
